Broken English

You know those movies that come around every so often (and when I mean every so often I mean like once a decade) when you can actually relate to a character enough that is seems real? Well, as I was having an awful night tonight, I came across the movie Broken English on Netflix. It's not one of those glamorous Hollywood movies that make you fantasize and dream big dreams. It is a Sundance film and actually, it is a dream crusher. It totally and completely crushed my dreams, but I loved it. The female protagonist, Nora, I felt so closely relatable to - it kind of freaked me out a little bit. But everything she was going through - granted she was older- I could somehow relate to. If anyone has seen this movie, which i'm guessing many people haven't... You know when you are watching and your heart aches a little and you want to cry because the romance in it was so pure? This was the second film i've ever cried in, so it really pulled at the heart strings. It is raw and true to what real life actually is. It made me appreciate everything in life so much more. I can say without a doubt I just had a serendipitous moment coming across this movie. It definitely opened my eyes, gave me some clarity, but also made me realize........ Paris is always a good idea.
